The Wednesday Writing Club

At the Wednesday Writing Club, we practice different writing techniques in short bursts designed to fire up the imagination and awaken the creative brain.

This group meets weekly on Wednesday evenings, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. SUITABLE FOR 7-12 YEAR-OLDS.

The dates for the next term are:
8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th Jan, 5th, 12th Feb (6) HALF TERM 26th Feb, 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th March (5).

This term costs £192.50 (11 weeks). Add to cart to purchase one term.

OR, sign up for the academic year (three terms) and split the cost over 12 months at £37.50 per month, bringing the price of the sessions down to £15 each.

If the term has already started, don’t worry. As long as there are places available, you can join us at any time. Please contact me to arrange a one-off trial session or pay for a part-term.

One of the best ways to improve your writing is to practice.

That’s the advice most authors would give you if you asked them – including me! So why not join me on a Wednesday evening, no experience required, just come along with your imagination and a willingness to give it a go.

According to research by the National Literacy Trust, engaging with literacy improves children’s mental wellbeing. Though fewer children than ever enjoy writing, those that do enjoy it, turn to writing as a form of self-expression, something that seems increasingly important in the modern world. Creative writing is an important skill, and tool, to help foster self expression and improve mental wellbeing. The Storymakers Writing Club has been fostering a love of writing since 2017. The creative writing groups bring children together. They help nurture ideas in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. Of equal importance, the groups help making writing fun, which is as it should be.
