As an experienced writer and author, I bring my knowledge of writing to what I do. Based in Sevenoaks, I have been helping children prepare for the English paper of the Sevenoaks School entrance exams for a number of years. This includes working with children on both a 1:1 basis and in small group settings,
When the children work with me, they gain a deeper knowledge of how to structure in-depth answers to the comprehension papers. They also learn how to use various literary techniques to compose detailed descriptive writing pieces and interesting stories.

My name is Nikki Young and I’m the author of The Mystery of the Disappearing Underpants and the Time School series. As well as being a published author, I have over 10 years’ experience as a professional writer.
I established the Storymakers Writing Club in 2017 to help inspire and encourage children to form a lifelong love of writing. As well as providing weekly group sessions during term time and holiday workshops, I work with children on a 1:1 basis.
